WRAYSBURY FISHERIES (Diagram)

River Colnebrook
Parking is at the Station end of the Fishery in a car park shared with Leisure Sports.
The car park is located on the north side of the Station with entry along the concrete road,
through the barrier gateway and into the car park area on the right.
The number for the combination lock is changed every year and is published in the Spring Bulletin.
Species:- Barbel, Bream, Carp, Chub, Dace, Perch, Pike and Roach.

Cargill Lake
Parking as for the Colnebrook. A combination number is required for entry into the Lake area.
Species:- Bream, Carp, Pike and Tench.

Grand Union Canal Section 'A' (Diagram)

Batchworth Lock No 81 to Springwell Lock No 83
Parking in the Aquadrome car park. Take note of the opening and closing times of the car park as shown on the notice board.
There are power lines crossing the Canal and the no fishing areas are clearly signed.
It can prove fatal to ignore these warnings. There are Permanent Moorings, clearly signed, between Springwell and Stockers Lock. Fishing is prohibited in these areas. Fishing is not allowed in the Locks or by the bollards on either side of the Locks.
Section “A” is a day ticket water.

Grand Union Canal Section 'B' (Diagram)

Springwell Lock No 83 to Black Jacks Lock No 85
Parking in Springwell Lock car park or in Copper Mill Lane. During the week, parking in the Coy Carp Restaurant car park may be allowed.
There are power lines crossing the Canal and the “no fishing areas” are clearly signed.
Members are advised that there is occasional road traffic between Copper Mill Lane and the Bailiffs Cottage upstream and the
cottages downstream. Fishing is not allowed in front of Copper Mill Cottages or where signed on the towpath.

Fishing is not allowed in the locks or by bollards on either side of locks.
This section is Members and Season Ticket Holders only and is also known as “The Running Pound” or “The Runner”. (back to waters links)

Grand Union Canal Section 'C' (Diagram)

Black Jacks Lock No 85 to Denham Deep Lock No 87
Parking on the roadway near the Horse & Barge public house away from the hump of the bridge. There are power lines crossing the Canal and the “no fishing areas” are clearly signed. There are permanent moorings, clearly marked and fishing is not allowed in these areas. Section “C” is a day ticket water.
Species: Carp, Chub, Perch, Pike and Roach. (back to waters links)

Kennet & Avon Canal (Diagram)

KENNET & AVON CANAL FISHERY, MIDGHAM 

Take the M4 to junction 12 and on to the A4 to Woolhampton. Turn left opposite the Angel public house, over the level crossing and the river bridge and park in the Row Barge Public House car park. The fishery commences at the first lock and upstream to the second lock, crossing the canal by the swing bridge.
This is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is covered by English Nature regulations.

Species:- Chub, Dace, Perch, Pike, Roach and Tench. (back to waters links)

BRAY LOCK & JUBILEE CHANNEL (Diagram)

Both of these Fisheries are approached from The Bath Road (A4). Turn left down Marsh Lane and cross the Jubilee Channel.
For the Jubilee Channel parking is available by the sluice off of Marsh Lane. The Fishery extends from the railway bridge right down to the M4 motorway bridge. Some parking is available by the wooden bridge off Amerden Lane. Please park carefully so as not to upset local residents.
Fishing is from prepared swims or where marked by a white painted post.

For Bray Lock follow on down Marsh Lane and fork right on to Old Marsh Lane. Continue to the car park at Bray Lock.
The car park is locked and the Combination is 7428. Fishing is from Bray Lock upstream to the Sounding Arch below Maidenhead Bridge.

The Jubilee Channel contains a head of Carp plus the normal river coarse fish.
The Bray Lock stretch contains quality Chub and Bream as well as the normal range of river fish.
Night fishing is permitted.

BOVENEY FISHERY (Diagram)

From the Sainsbury’s Roundabout on The Bath Road (A4) turn left down Lake End Road. Continue over the M4 down to Dorney.
Take a right hand turn on to Boveney Road on Dorney Common (watch out for Cows) and park in the Car Park.
Note the car park is locked overnight. From the back of the car park take the footpath past the Church that brings you to the River Thames.

Turn right, the Fishery starts here and continues upstream to the Boundary. There is no fishing in front of the Rowing Club premises.
Night fishing is permitted.

CLIVESDEN FISHERY

Take the Ray Mead Road from the A4 Thames Bridge to Cookham. Parking is available in the Boulters Lock Car Park. From there walk the bank upstream. The first few swims and bank from Boulters Lock are free fishing. The fishery starts at the first wooden footbridge and continue upstream to Mill Lane, Cookham.
Night fishing is permitted on this water.
